Lego Animation

This project was all modeled, textured, rigged, animated, and edited by myself. Outside assets and sources can be found in the video description or the bottom of this page.

Modeling, texturing, and animating all done in Maya; post production, the intro, and video creation done in Adobe Premiere.

Lighting and Model

Above you can see a progress screenshot of the Jedi model being illuminated by the light inside his lightsaber, unfortunately through developement the rendering of the light inside the lightsaber became more of a hassle than something that added to the animation. It was eventaully taken out.

UV mapping

Above you can see the UV mapping used to take the outside source that is the sith's Lego robes and project it onto the model.

texturing

Above is the state machine for controlling and key-framing the texture to be displayed on the Lego character's face.

Early Modeling

Here is a screenshot from the early modeling process designing the lightsaber.
